Founder of The Stitchery, Nicki comes to us from North Hamptonshire in England. She joins us for two 3 day retreats where we will complete an exclusive embroidery kit from The Stitchery. Prepare to be thoroughly spoiled and pampered!
Join us in Okotoks, Canada for one of our two, 3 day events in May, 2027. The first retreat is May 21-23, 2027 and second is May 28-30, 2027. Our retreat space is on our acreage property, 2 minutes outside of the town of Okotoks. The following is a very preliminary schedule, and may change slightly as Nicki and I continue to prepare a wonderful weekend retreat for you all:
Friday and Saturday 10 am-4 pm: Full instruction on an exclusive kit from The Stitchery (this is a surprise kit, and not the one in the picture on this listing) created with the Stitchery aesthetic in mind, and exclusive to our retreat attendees. Snacks, beverages and a lunch will be catered. You may provide your own food (we do have a fridge and microwave on site) if you have any special dietary restrictions. There will be an opportunity for studio shopping with special discounts, and a full stock of Stitchery kits, plus many other goodies!
Sunday 10 am-1pm:half day of finishing projects, collecting your goodies, goodbyes. Retreat ends at 1 pm.
*Okotoks is located in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and is a beautiful small historic town, 20 minutes from the city of Calgary. The international airport is a 40-50 minute drive away. We will be providing a written guide for you, including listing my favourite restaurants, shops and destinations. I highly recommend extending your stay and visiting Banff, a bucket list destination for people around the world (I have included several photos of Banff for you to see, though photos don’t do it justice). Banff is a 2 hour drive from my home, into the Rocky Mountains. It is not to be missed!
*There are several local hotels, minutes from the retreat site. There is every amenity in our town, including many chain shops and restaurants, but also (and I believe more importantly) wonderful small, locally owned businesses.
*I would recommend renting a vehicle at the airport so you can not only get to Okotoks, but also drive daily to the retreat location. Transportation is not provided.
*A full itinerary and list of hotels and other details will be provided to you in the coming months.
