Cartonnage

Cartonnage is the art of covering boxes with fabric. These wonderful boxes can be used to store sewing supplies, stationery or really anything! These projects range from beginner to advanced. If you are just starting out, I would recommend a basic box without center inserts or compartments. I am also a beginner but found this to be an easy project (you can also search on you tube for some basic video tutorials!) Please note that the boxes come in pieces, to be constructed and glued as you go. Instructions are included, but are basic, so it is helpful to have some experience or to watch some tutorials. Once you do one, you'll find it is simple and the results are beautiful. There's so many wonderful design possibilities with these boxes and fabric! Have fun making these beautiful boxes!
