The Woodland View Cushion feels like looking through a little window into an enchanted winter forest.
A soft bouclé plush frame surrounds a whimsical woodland scene filled with squirrels, foxes and tiny forest characters. Appliquéd trees and branches overlap the printed fabric, creating wonderful depth and making the whole cushion feel almost like a layered paper-cut illustration brought to life in fabric.
I love the combination of textures in this project—the softness of the bouclé against the detailed Acufactum print gives the cushion such a cozy, storybook feel. It is a really special winter project and would be beautiful on a sofa, bench, bed or favourite reading chair.
Finished size: approximately 24" × 20".

The project includes appliqué, working with bouclé plush, fusible web, fusible fleece and zippered cushion construction. The trees and branches are appliquéd over the feature fabric before the cushion is assembled.
KIT INCLUDES: All the fabrics required, the fusible fleece, fusible web, zipper. The cushion insert is not included.

*The book calls for a 20" zipper and a 24" × 20" cushion insert.
*Kit fabric quantities may vary from those listed in the book. Where the book calls for more fabric than is actually required, we have adjusted the quantity to include what you need plus a little extra, helping keep the kit cost down. We may also substitute a comparable basic fabric for hidden linings where this does not affect the finished look of the project.
You MUST have a copy of A Handmade Winter to complete this project. The pattern and sewing instructions are found in the book and are not included with this kit.
