Emma Sjodin: Windowshade. Bumblebee

The 'Rosehip & Bumble Bee' collection is included in Emma Sjodin's botanical series, depicting Scandinavian wild flowers and beautiful insects. Here Emma has combined her favorite techniques of drawing with graphite and water colour to create detailed and timeless images. She aims to artistically describe how a flower is composed of buds, blossoms, stalks and leaves. The images are created from her own studies and compositions of flowers from the fields of Smaland around their villa Frovik. The bumble bee in the picture is one of the family's field bees that you can find in the countryside, forests, parks or gardens.
