The Autumn Cushion is such a lovely combination of sewing and cross stitch. The stitched Autumn Child motif becomes the focal point of the cushion, almost like a little framed piece of artwork, with a child holding a bouquet of treasures gathered on an autumn walk.
The embroidery is bordered with soft taupe polka-dot fabric, while narrow anthracite-and-white striped piping frames the stitched panel and gives the cushion such a pretty, finished look. The soft neutral colours let the embroidery really stand out and give the whole project that quiet, timeless Acufactum feel.
This would be beautiful on a favourite chair, bench or bed throughout autumn, and it is a wonderful project for anyone who enjoys combining stitching with sewing.
