It has been such a rewarding year and I thank you for the endless support and inspiration!
What a year 2023 has been for us here at the Willow Cottage Studio. We added several new team members, introduced our Acufactum Fabric Collector's Club, had 3 wonderful Tilda collections released, introduced several new artisans and products and have begun filming our online classes.
We have added an addition to the studio which will allow us to have more in person events, including open shop days, open studio/sew days and classes. The addition portion of the studio will be our warehouse, filming, shipping and receiving area. We are SO excited to have this space which not only allows us to expand our in person events, but also allows us to introduce new services to our online customers.
One of our goals, which we have already started, is online classes. These will be filmed in house, and feature myself, Laurie and also other guest instructors. We have been working on this for several months now, as it is so much to prepare for, from purchasing filming equipment, to editing and more. You can watch for announcements on our Instagram, and via newsletters when our class library will be ready.
We also have a SUPER exciting new feature coming in February, Live Shopping.
Think of it as Shopping Channel for fabric haha It will be super fun and I hope it will help get a better look and feel for the fabrics and other products we feature. We will be doing another newsletter for you next week, explaining more about this!
We have also hired a new shipping and inventory manager! This will allow us to ship your orders quicker, more efficiently and allow us to increase the amount of kits and other products available.
Emma is the sweetest girl, who I have known since she was 12 years old. I am SO excited to have her join the team!
We also have a number of new fabric lines coming. As always, my goal is to source not only beautiful, but unique and hard to find products. Many are European, UK and Australia based. We have so many truly special fabrics and other goodies coming in 2024.
Our Acufactum Fabric Collector's Club will continue in 2024, but with a few new additions which we outlined on our previous newsletter!
We have 5 very special guest instructors coming to the studio in 2024, and as soon as dates are finalized, we will make an official announcement. (I can hardly contain my excitement to have these amazing designers come to Willow Cottage!)
I know more fun things will develop throughout the year. I can't thank you all enough because without you, I wouldn't have this dream job. We are so grateful for all your support over the years. We hope you will love what we have in store for you this coming year!
