Vintage Floral Basket is a kit inspired by my antique postcard collection. I just love the images of decorative vintage baskets. I have filled the basket with beautiful pastel flowers. There are poppies, roses, daisies , hyacinth and berries with some foliage to finish it off.
The kit includes antique hand-printed linen, instructions and all threads required to complete the project. If you are a visual learner you will also find supporting tutorials on my youtube channel.
The kit measures approx 8cm by 7cm (on a 10"x10" piece of linen)
All materials are beautifully presented in a sturdy, professionally printed folder tied with frayed linen, based on the design of the handmade folders that Kate Nicole (Oyster Bridge & Co) makes for my embroidery workshops. Kate has provided all of the illustrations and hand-calligraphy for the kits, together with a ‘Stitchery Favourites’ reference card that will soon be available to buy online in my haberdashery department alongside my favourite scissors, needles, hoops and threads.
Ideal as gifts or for yourself, The Stitchery embroidery kits are designed with beginners in mind, as well advanced stitchers. The aim is not to produce a perfect piece of needlework but to encourage the stitcher to slow down and enjoy a little old-fashioned calmness and serenity in a world that is becoming increasingly fast-paced and perhaps a little stressful at times.
