Sweet Christmas is a charming little holiday design by Jeannette Douglas, created to be finished either around a spool or as a sweet little pincushion.
Featuring a petite Christmas tree surrounded by tiny floral details, this is such a lovely seasonal stitch. The design is small enough to be approachable while still having all the beautiful colour and detail we love in Jeannette’s work.
Jeannette designed Sweet Christmas with two finishing possibilities in mind. Wrap the stitched piece around a spool for a wonderful sewing-room display, or finish it as a traditional pincushion. It is beautiful either way.

Finished Size: approximately 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" when stitched on 36 count linen
Model Fabric: 36 ct Faun by Picture This Plus. The design has also been stitched on 40 ct Dusty Road by Seraphim Fabrics.
Threads: The model uses hand-dyed cotton floss, with a DMC conversion included in the pattern.
The spool version also incorporates a pretty Nun’s Stitch edge, adding another lovely finishing detail to this special little project.
