In this class, Laurie will guide you through the process of making the In Control tote. This wonderful By Annie pattern is a Willow Cottage favourite. It is particularly great for storing sewing supplies, but it is very versatile for many uses.
Included in the class is the pattern, 5 hours of instruction by Laurie, and the soft and stable, fusible interfacing, zipper, strapping and hardware required for the project. You will need to provide your own fabric from your stash or purchase fabric during class. Please see fabric requirements below. The fabric is not included in the price, to allow you the flexibility of using your own fabric if desired.
*Class takes place on March 11 from 10am-3pm
*fabric you will need to bring (or purchase) is 3/4 yard of main fabric, 3/4 yard of lining fabric, 3/4 yard of contrasting fabric (for the binding and borders). These fabric requirements are based on 42" wide fabrics.
*You MUST have your own sewing machine!
*We highly recommend bringing or purchasing a stiletto tool to help with construction. These are available in the shop if needed.
*Bring a bagged lunch (we have a fridge and microwave on site) and whatever snacks and drinks you would like. This is not included in the class.
