The collection 'Bellflowers & Lemon Butterfly' is included in Emma Sjodin's botanical series depicting Scandinavian wild flowers and beautiful insects. In this series, Emma has combined her favorite techniques of drawing with graphite and water colour to create detailed, time less images. She aims to artistically describe how a flower is put together by buds, blossoms, stalks and leaves. The images are created from her own studies and compositions of flowers from the fields of Smaland around their villa Frovik. The lemon butterfly on the picture flies from March to September and prefers to collect nectar from blue and red flowers.
