The Winter Owls design is such a charming little winter scene, with two beautifully detailed owls stitched in soft, natural tones.
What makes this project especially lovely is the texture. The book uses Tela Artis fuzzy yarn for the feathers, giving the owls a soft, fluffy finish that adds wonderful dimension to the stitching. Our kits also include this wonderful floss.
The finished design has that quiet, storybook feeling that runs throughout A Handmade Winter, and would be beautiful framed for a sewing room, winter display or cozy corner of your home.

The book shows the design stitched on gray evenweave and recommends a frame measuring at least 8" × 9".
