The Wildwood Sampler is the eighth annual Block of the Month programme that Nicola and I have collaborated on and will run for nine months, from October 2026 until June 2027. As a participant you will receive an exclusive early access pattern book and beautifully packaged kits containing everything you need to create the quilt top and binding.
We'll be using Nicola's favourite tried and trusted techniques, which include simple machine piecing and adding simple embroidery embellishments. We'll include any little extras you will need and, as always, a few lovely surprises, just because. This year we're thrilled to be sewing with Tilda's Village Life collection in the scrumptious woodland tones of the autumn palette.
The programme also includes: special password-accessed blog posts, where Nicola will be sharing her inspiration and guiding you through the techniques we cover; exclusive filmed tutorials for each block; and a creative community hub where we can share our trials, tribulations and triumphs. And given the continued uncertainty surrounding postal rates and tariffs, you'll have the choice of a full kit, rather than monthly parcels, delivered at the beginning of the programme. Please note that there are limited places available for this Block of the Month. If choosing the monthly option, your packages ship on the second Tuesday of each month, and payments come out on the first of the month.
The reservation fee of $22.50 CAD (American friends, your payment will be in USD according to the current exchange rate) is non-refundable and commits you to participating in the nine month programme. This is a 50% discounted reservation fee for our Nutcracker Sampler members.
The remaining nine payments will be made by subscription and will cost $45 + $8 postage CAD. These payments will begin on October 1, and continue monthly until the last payment on June 1, 2027.
We also have a KIT option! You pay $445 CAD for the kit which includes your reservation fee and shipping costs and you will receive all the material, pattern, and extra goodies up front. You'll still enjoy the monthly blog posts and video tutorials, but receive the materials and full kit up front at the start of the program in October. The pro to this is you save on shipping overall, the con is more upfront cost. We want to give you the choice to choose what works best for you-monthly payments or a full kit and one payment :) You will receive your kit in October but the full kit payment will be made when you order.
