The Squirrel design captures such a quiet little winter moment... a tiny squirrel curled up comfortably on a branch, fast asleep as though the whole world has paused around him.
There is something wonderfully peaceful about this one. The soft woodland colours and sweet little scene give it that storybook feeling that runs throughout A Handmade Winter, and it would be beautiful displayed all winter long.
The finished embroidery can be displayed simply in a hoop, or you can make the coordinating Hoop Cover from the book and finish it with a beautiful velvet ribbon tied into a bow, just as it is shown in the photographs.
