From Irene Blanck, the Australian designer of this gorgeous quilt, "Tulipa is my interpretation of an antique quilt. It is all hand appliqued - even what looks like nine patch blocks. The stars are made using English Paper Piecing. The sawtooth border is one piece of fabric appliqued onto a background strip of fabric."
