*Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched has designed the Sunshine & Lollipops Quilt using the Tilda Jubilee Collection and Farm Flowers coordinates. The quilt also includes Devonstone Linen Solids, an exclusive preprinted stitchery panel and specially designed wideback fabric for backing the quilt.
*This is a listing for a full KIT to accompany the Block of the Month program that will be published in the Homespun magazine, beginning February 2024 and running over 6 issues. YOU WILL REQUIRE THE MAGAZINE. You can either get this directly from Homespun or as I do, on a digital platform such as Zinio. This is NOT included in this kit and you MUST have the magazine in physical or digital form to finish this project.
*This quilt will feature multiple techniques such as applique, English Paper Piecing, patchwork and hand embroidery. The embroidery is quite basic, using backstitch, cross stitch, detached chain (lazy daisy) stitch, French knot, running stitch, satin stitch, and couching stitches.
*All of the fabrics required to create the quilt top and scrappy binding, plus backing fabric are included. Cosmo embroidery floss is also included(there is one substitution in colour, Cosmo 2037 has been replaced with Cosmo 2307 as 2037 is not currently available). We have also included all the 'applique papers' required to complete this project. Below is a description of these papers:
This includes one of each applique shape precision cut from our HNK applique paper - iron-on/leave in paper that makes for perfect and achievable results. No tracing, no cutting, no template plastic, no needleturning edges to a marked line. The simplest way to applique. Some of these applique shapes are quite small or thin and tricky so beginners especially will gain great assistance with a precision cut template pack.
This pack includes all of the triangles and circles used in the full project. It includes circles to use behind completed stitcheries also making it simpler to perfectly turn the edges to acheive smooth circles to then applique onto the blocks by hand or machine.
Note: we have called it the EPP pack but the method is not really EPP - as the covered template shapes are not stitched together like EPP - just appliqued onto the backgrounds individually.
Acrylic templates are not included as they are not required - The papers fuse onto the fabrics and the fabric can just be cut out with scissors or rotary cutter.
This pack includes:
1" circles x 42
2" circles x 5
2.25" circles x 5
3" circles x 9
5" circles x 4
7.5" circles x 3
3.25" large border triangles x 72
19 small isosceles triangles
*quilt finishes at 72" x 72"
