*This is a listing for a full KIT to accompany the Block of the Month program that will be published in the Homespun magazine, beginning February 2023 and running over 6 issues. YOU WILL REQUIRE THE MAGAZINE. You can either get this directly from Homespun or as I do, on a digital platform such as Zinio. This is NOT included in this kit and you MUST have the magazine in physical or digital form to finish this project.
*Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse has designed the Owl & Hare Hollow Quilt using her Owl & Hare Hollow, Blume & Grow and Birdhouse Basics fabric collections, plus Devonstone Collection Solids and a brand new stitchery panel and 56”/ 147cm Owl & Hare Hollow backing fabric designed especially for the Owl & Hare Hollow Quilt.
*This quilt will feature multiple techniques such as applique, English Paper Piecing, patchwork and hand embroidery. All of the fabrics required to create the quilt top and scrappy binding, plus backing fabric are included. Optional EPP papers and embroidery threads are not included. The quilt will finish at 64" x 79".
*The following is a list of other materials, not included in the kit but required to complete this project: Cosmo embroidery threads (or you can use any embroidery floss you'd like and colour match to the Cosmo colours), batting, EPP papers as follows: ½” Hexagon, ⅜” Hexagon. 2” Coffin, 2” Pointed Dresden, 1” circle, circle arc segments or applique paper for same. Blue water-erasable marker, tan fine-point permanent marker, thin cardboard for templates, needle for applique and embroidery, basting glue or applique pins, matching coloured cottons for applique, neutral coloured cotton for EPP, lightbox (optional), EPP basting glue (optional), 0.5mt lightweight iron-on interfacing, embroidery scissors, general quilting supplies, including rotary cutter, rulers, cutting mat. (please note: you can make your own epp papers with the templates in the pattern)
