Matilda is a lovely scrappy quilt - from the background fabrics to the flowers and vases.
Matilda is made up of 6 1/2 inch blocks. Four blocks are joined together to make a 12 1/2 inch block. For the background fabrics I used a variety of checks, stripes, some script fabric - all "low volume" in a variety of colours. For the vases I used browns and greys. In my 12 1/2 inch block I used the same brown/grey fabric for the four vases. It would also look lovely using wool felt.
