I am thrilled to introduce you to a trio of new gorgeous embroidery kits we have brought into the studio. These beautiful kits come from the incredibly talented UK based embroidery artist, Magda Rose Skilleter (@mrsembroidery2 on Instagram). I love nothing more than finding beautiful, unique and wonderful products for my customers, and these kits certainly fit that description. Where are you from?

I am British and currently living in a little village in West Sussex on a farm at the foot of the South Downs National park, so you could call me a country girl! {This is Andrea adding in that this sounds like a fairytale dream! little village? South Downs National park? That's what this Anglophile's dreams are made of!)

When did you learn how to stitch and embroider?

I started stitching at around 7 years old. My mother bought me a wool canvas work of a little lamb. I loved making dolls clothes too. I started designing kits in 2021 so very recently with a view to capturing wild flowers in embroidery. Although my mother taught me embroidery at a young age I wanted to train in embroidery professionally so in 2012 I embarked on the Certificate course in technical hand embroidery with the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace.

What are your plans for your business in the future?

I am passionate to continue designing embroidery kits depicting flora and fauna of the British Isles. I have some exciting new ideas in the form of embroidery kits, but I don’t want to give anything away just yet! I really would like to expand my kits overseas & just to keep embroidering!
